Wanting to buy a pink microwave might sound absurd to some people, but I don't agree. When I saw an image of one, I knew I had to have one. Thus started the journey to finding a working microwave. This is not easy, however, having one in my wonderful retro kitchen makes it absolutely appealing!

It is very interesting in today's world you can get microwaves in wide ranges of color. You can be just a little different, and get a black microwave, or you can go all out and get a blue microwave oven. Or, perhaps, you are retro-girly like me and you like a pink microwave.

Based on your style and tastes, and budget, you may want to start searching for a second hand microwave. They are actually easier to find than a new one. The ones in the shop often be limited model and sell out fast. If you check out a site like craigslist or ebay, you may be able to find some used one which are still working well.

Take your time when shopping for these. You don't essentially want to acquire the first one you see (unless, of course, the first one you find is perfect!). Pink microwaves come in many different shades of pink and in many different styles. A neon pink microwave in 80's choice will look a lot different in your kitchen when compared with a pastel-y pink in a 50-60's style would. When checking out these microwaves, be sure they will go well in your kitchen and match your personal style.

This is not something that I would go DIY with (and I love DIY!). If you could not find a pink microwave that you like and you want to color one that you possess. I highly recommend you stop and think beforehand. A microwave gets hot and emits radiation. If the paint reacts badly to the heat and/or radiation, then you could have a quick, bad fire. You do not want this!

If you happen to be shopping for a microwave, just have a look around and see what types of cool colors you can find. A blue or pink microwave will often be cooler than a black one.
