Iscar Adds Their Latest Creations To A Extensive Line Of Successful Hole Making Solutions



Iscar recently released numerous different drilling innovations to meet their customers needs. These new products are Sumocham Drill, DR-DH and Deep Drills. SUMOCHAM Drills

ISCAR's new SUMOCHAM drill family is an advanced progression of the tremendously successful CHAMDRILL and CHAMDRILLJET drill families. The drill features twisted coolant nozzles with indexable drilling heads which are available in different head configurations for a range of material groups. SUMOCHAM drills can be used on milling centers or lathes.

SUMOCHAM incorporates four different standard drill head geometries, designed for optimum performance and high dependability. The drill head is made with a sharp cutting edge and polished flutes. SUMOCHAM drilling heads are offered in the diameter range of 8 to 25.9 mm. The drill head has ground flutes for smooth, continuous chip flow and a ground gash for enhanced penetration.

The drill shank design is according to DIN 9766 standard, with available drilling depth to diameter ratios of 1.5XD, 3xD, 5XD and 8xD. All drill bodies showcase coolant through holes. The accurate cylinder added to the clamping portion improves durability and decreases internal stresses. The rotation stopper planes are accurately ground, to increase the control on the drilling head position and support, increasing tool performance and life. ISCAR's innovative SUMOCHAM drill line will offer longer tool life and higher productivity.

DR-DH Deep Drills

DR-DH drills can obtain drilling depth-to-diameter ratio of 7XD and up. Engineered to be implemented on standard horizontal milling centers, turning, and multi-task machines. Use of additional machine and setup can be avoided. They will be offered as semi-standard product in a diameter range of 25.4 to 69.5 mm (1.00 - 2.73").

Two versions will be available:
A Single Flute DR-DH-31.65-0350NC-2FS is a very stiff tool having a patented chip gullet design. It was developed for easily cut materials like cast iron and low alloyed steel.

A Double Flute DR-DH-31.65-0350NC-2FD has a double chip gullet for improved chip flow. It was engineered for drilling gummy materials such as non-alloyed steel and high temperature alloys.

ISCAR DEEP HOLE DRILLS

With ISCAR's brand new solid carbide deep hole drills, you can easily drill up to 22 times diameter and arrive bottom10% faster than with other solid carbide drills - and six times faster than a HSS drill. This capacity can speed up countless high-volume operations. The deep-hole drilling station no longer has to slow down a transfer line or stop it fully because a drill breaks.

Different target applications include deep holes for automotive, hydraulic blocks and die & mold work. A aggregate of features aid the twist drills to cut faster, straighter,deeper, last longer and discharge chips more readily. A unique high-strength core creates a more long lasting drill point and allows for deeper flutes, enlarging the exit path for chips.

Iscar is introducing Penta 34 carbide inserts with a new PB chipformer. The PB chipformer features a single cavity with a positive rake, neutral shoulder angle, and a honed edge. It is actually a C-type chipformer with a different frontal edge.

Brand New End Mills Coming From Iscar Can Boost Productivity While Reducing Costs
